Which cattle are covered?
The 2026 update clarifies that the cattle commodity applies only to cattle within specified Bos genera/sub-genera under the relevant live-cattle subheadings. Buffalo (Syncerus), bison (Bison) and other bovines are excluded from that cattle commodity definition.
What changed in product scope?
The update removed cattle entries for raw hides and skins under 4101, tanned/crust hides under 4104 and further-prepared cattle leather under 4107. It also added frozen cattle tongues under ex 0206 21 00, applying from 30 December 2027.
Cattle geolocation works differently
For cattle-related products, the relevant geolocation relates to establishments where the cattle were kept, rather than only a single agricultural production plot concept used for crops or forestry.
